Scholarship Benefits and Conditions:
Tuition Fees:
Full-time equivalent fee offset for up to 4 years for a Doctoral program and 2 years for a Masters by Research program.
After the fee offset period, ongoing tuition fees become the responsibility of the student.
Stipend Scholarship:
Full-time base stipend (living allowance) rate set by the Australian Government.
Available for up to 3 years for a Doctoral program and a maximum of 2 years for a Masters by Research program.
After the stipend scholarship ends, all living expenses become the student’s responsibility.
Leave Entitlements:
Recreation Leave:
Up to 20 working days paid recreation leave per year of the stipend.
Accrued over the stipend’s duration, forfeited upon termination.
Sick Leave:
Up to 10 working days paid annual sick leave per year of the stipend.
Additional paid sick leave up to 60 working days may be granted with a medical certificate.
Carer’s Leave:
Annual and additional sick leave can be used for research degree students with family caring responsibilities.
Maternity and Parental Leave:
60 working days paid maternity leave after 12 months of the stipend.
10 working days paid parental leave upon birth or adoption.
Relocation Allowance:
Economy or student concession airfares or car travel allowance for students relocating to Adelaide.
Jury Duty: Regular stipend continues during the period of jury service.
